Ingredients
- 1 ball of pizza dough (250g)
- 20g BBQ sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
- 37.5g cooked pulled pork (seasoned and shredded)
- 37.5g shredded mozzarella
- 25g red onion, thinly sliced
- 1.5 tsp olive oil
- Fresh coriander or parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- 1If using a kitchen oven: Preheat to 475°F (245°C) with a baking stone or tray inside. If using an outdoor pizza oven: Preheat to 750–800°F (400–425°C).
- 2Stretch or roll the dough into a 12-inch circle.
- 3Spread BBQ sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
- 4Sprinkle half the mozzarella over the sauce.
- 5Distribute pulled pork evenly, followed by red onion slices.
- 6Top with the remaining mozzarella and drizzle with a little extra BBQ sauce if desired.
- 7Bake: Kitchen oven 10–12 minutes until cheese is bubbling and crust is golden; Outdoor pizza oven 60-90 seconds, rotating every 20 seconds.
- 8Drizzle with more BBQ sauce and sprinkle with fresh coriander or parsley before serving.
Chef's Tips
Use a smoky BBQ sauce for deeper flavour.
Toss the pulled pork in a little BBQ sauce before adding to keep it moist.
Thinly slice onions so they soften without burning.
